Dear Students,
Hello! I hope all of your breaks have been super restful and productive (or not ). I am emailing you all to inform you of the FMUA Semi Formal happening this month. First of all:
This year's semi formal is completely FREE!
Free of charge, our semi formal is happening on Friday, January 17th from 7-12am (No, you do not have to stay until 12am). It is being held at Archeo, 31 Trinity Street. Come join us for a night of two free drink tickets, great food, music, photos, and memories!
Our theme is 1001 nights!
Please be aware that plus ones are not permitted until further notice. We have a capacity of 140 people and RSVP priority goes to music students.

Thursday, January 16, 2025 - Cafe Clarification and Winter IGA
Dear Faculty of Music Students,
Thank you for all of the love, support, and patience during the opening week of the EJB Music Cafe! On behalf of the cafe staff and the FMUA, we truly appreciate it all I am emailing today regarding the cafe and Winter IGA.
Cafe Clarification
We have received comments wondering about what it means to be an "FMUA Member". To clarify, it does not mean you need to be part of the FMUA Board of Directors to be eligible for the 60% discount. It means that if you are an undergraduate student who pays into the FMUA Fees (Endowment & Special Projects Fund), you are automatically considered as an "FMUA member". The 60% off discount is due to the fact that your money from the FMUA Fees went towards the opening of the cafe. Without you all, this opening would not be possible.
To see if you pay into FMUA Fees, please check your invoice on acorn and find "FMUA Endowment & Special Projects Fund".
Please keep sharing your comments and concerns with us and we promise to get to them as soon as possible.
Winter IGA
Applications for Winter IGA are out now! Please see https://www.fmua.ca/bursaries-grants-and-awards-1 for more information. The IGA is due on January 24, 2025 at 11:59 pm.

If you have any thoughts, questions, or concerns, please consider attending as we will be discussing important topics that we need your input on.
